How do I install a tar.bz2 file in Ubuntu?

In general, go to the directory with the file, then run:

  1. tar jvxf whatever.tar.bz2
  2. cd whatever/
  3. ./configure
  4. make
  5. sudo make install

The convention is for these files to contain the source code needed to build the package and install it, and the above steps should do that for you. Related:GroupBuy SEO Tools
